Description: Abstract

This session will provide participants with an overview of knowledge exchange theory and practice. The presentation will include what is knowledge exchange, commonly accepted definitions, the Knowledge to Action model, linkages to evidence-informed decision making and the public health unit context.  Resources for knowledge exchange and evidence-informed decision making will be provided.

Presenter:  Nandini Saxena

Nandini Saxena is a Knowledge Exchange Specialist with the OAHPP. She has worked in a variety of knowledge exchange roles, which have involved development and support of a province-wide mental health and addictions knowledge exchange network, and involving decision makers and researchers in the co-creation of a public health and health systems research agenda for mental health and addictions.
