Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion (OAHPP), the Association of Local Public Health Agencies (alPHa) and the Ontario Public Health Association (OPHA) are working together to plan a unique public health conference.
The four day conference will attract between 500 to 700 public health practitioners including: health promoters, epidemiologists, public health nurses, physicians, researchers, policy makers and other groups. The conference will be the first of its kind, and will create a ‘platform’ for existing public health organizations in the province to network, identify opportunities for collaboration and to share the latest scientific knowledge and best practices.
The conference will be provincial in focus but will gather research and presentations from across Canada. The event will involve plenary speakers, panel discussions, poster sessions, professional development training workshops, and a call for abstracts for platform presentations.
