As of April 1, 2010, management of the following health resource centres will transfer from the Ministry of Health Promotion (MHP) to OAHPP:

• The Health Communication Unit  
• Alcohol Policy Network/Association to Reduce Alcohol Consumption
• Ontario Injury Prevention Resource Centre 
• Program Training and Consultation Centre

From now until the official transfer, we will be working to develop the strategic and operational plans required to integrate the centres’ activities with OAHPP strategic goals and objectives and to implement the associated organizational transformations.

We thank everyone at MHP and OAHPP who have worked collaboratively to ensure the foundation for a successful transfer, and who shared in this exciting new development that will strengthen health promotion and chronic disease and injury prevention in Ontario.
