Brian Schwartz Wins Keith Neely Award for Outstanding Contribution to EMS

Brian Schwartz, director, Emergency Management Support, (EMS) has been awarded the 2011 Keith Neely Award for Outstanding Contribution to Emergency Medical Services.

The award is presented to an active or past member of the United States based National Association of EMS Professionals (NAEMSP) who has provided significant leadership to the association.

Brian is the first Canadian to have served on the NAEMSP Board of Directors.

Brian led the way for Canadian EMS leaders to participate in the Association. Through his efforts, Canadians from across the country now attend and are actively involved in research and policy decisions that affect paramedics worldwide.

His leadership in EMS has been well known in Canada for many years.

The National Association of EMS Physicians is an organization of physicians and other professionals partnering to provide leadership and foster excellence in out-of-hospital emergency medical services.
