Management of Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE)

Public Health Ontario, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Quality Management Program Laboratory Services (QMP-LS) and health care providers are working together to understand and manage the incidence of Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE). This includes appropriate guidance for effective infection prevention and control (IPC) management practices, surveillance programs and guidance on laboratory processing, screening and reporting.
