Ontario Risk and Behaviour Surveillance System (ORBSS) Project OAHPP is providing co-ordinated leadership and support for the planning ORBSS, a provincewide surveillance system aimed at producing estimates of health behaviours, attitudes and other risk factors.
PCIRN Vaccine Coverage Theme The Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion is taking part in the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) – Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Influenza Research Network (PCIRN), a pan-Canadian vaccine research network that conducts applied public health research in preparation for and during influenza pandemics.
Supporting Applied Research and Program Evaluation, Education and Professional Development, and Knowledge Exchange Functions in Public Health

On July 15, 2010, OAHPP held a webinar to introduce potential program elements that would support applied research and program evaluation, education and professional development, and knowledge exchange in public health. This introductory session launched a consultation to develop a new model and begin planning for the transfer of the provincial share of the funding for the Public Health Research, Education and Development (PHRED) to OAHPP in early 2011.
